Important notices for HSBC Bahrain customers

HSBC agrees to sell retail banking business in Bahrain to Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait B.S.C

HSBC Bank Middle East, Bahrain branch, has entered into a binding agreement to transfer its retail banking business in Bahrain to Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait B.S.C. (BBK), one of the largest retail and commercial banks in Bahrain.

We are focused on supporting our impacted colleagues and customers in Bahrain and will work closely with BBK to facilitate a smooth transition, subject to the Central Bank of Bahrain’s approval.

The transaction excludes our Corporate and Private Banking businesses and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
