I am new to HSBC premier

HSBC Premier eligibility criteria

You can qualify for HSBC Premier by meeting any of the following eligibility criteria:

(a) Maintaining a minimum monthly average balance of BHD 35,000 (or equivalent in any other currency) in deposits and/or investments*

(b) Monthly net salary transfer of BHD 4,000 or above for the first 12 months after which point (a) applies**



Required documents

Bahraini Nationals & GCC Nationals

Current/valid CPR copy OR current/valid Smart Card.

If CPR/Smart Card is under issuance:

  • A letter issued by CPR/Smart Card regarding the address OR letter issued from the employer confirming the current residential address

  • Current/valid passport copy

  • Signed undertaking letter

  • Proof of address



Expatriate Residence of Bahrain:

  • Current/valid passport copy along with the residence permit page

  • Current/valid CPR



If CPR is under issuance:

  • A letter issued by the CPR authority regarding the address OR letter issued from the employer confirming the current residential address

  • Signed undertaking letter

  • Proof of address



Expatriate non-residence of Bahrain:

  • Current/valid passport copy OR current/valid ID

  • Proof of address

* Current accounts are also available in currencies other than those mentioned above.

**BHD 35,000 has to be maintained in deposits and/or investments within 12 months to avoid charges and discontinued service.
